I had Samsung remotely access my PC (this is NOT a free service) and the fellow updated one of the drivers (the other driver was current) but this didn't help either. I have a Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop purchased July 2013Īfter updating to Windows 10 a few days ago, the sliding brightness settings have no affect, nor do the function keys which are supposed to control display brightness. I like many of the new features of Windows 10, but this issue is becoming a deal-breaker. Since I have allowed both Microsoft and Samsung remote access to my PC with no benefit, My Windows updates are current, as is the software for all the drivers (I checked again just prior to writing this). ![]() (I know how to maintain good eye health IRT device screens.) I expect my PC, like my iPhone, to Never had when I could adjust the brightness in Windows 8.1.
